It is currently anticipated that the Science Center’s design team will present their plans in detail at FHNA’s March 16th General Membership Meeting. As a reminder, the Science Center, the Greater Baltimore Committee, the Baltimore Development Corporation, the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association, the Waterfront Partnership and other business interests continue to support an effort to identify the highest and best use for Rash Field. As the “only remaining undeveloped parcel of land along the Inner Harbor Waterfront”, the group feels that Rash Field should be developed to provide a destination attraction designed to bolster decreasing Inner Harbor tourist visits. Anne Arundel Mills Mall displaced the Inner Harbor as Maryland’s top tourist destination again last year.
