<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;">You must be a resident of an RPP area with a current vehicle registration to obtain a residential parking permit. In accordance with Article 31, Section 83, of the Baltimore City Code, a permit will not be issued to a commercial vehicle. (Commercial vehicle is classified as one of the following: has logos or advertisement; is loaded with supplies or equipment; and, is designed to carry 10 or more passengers.)</p>
<h2><a name="vehicle"></a><span style="font-size: small;">Vehicles Must Be Registered to an RPP Address</span></h2>
<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;"><strong>Exceptions are:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0in;">Enrollment in a local educational institution (A copy of the school registration or student identification for the current year, required proof of residency, and current vehicle registration.)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">A member of the Armed Forces (Identification card must be provided, required proof of residency and vehicle registration.)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Sufficient notarized documentation to certify exclusive use of a vehicle not registered in their name. (Required proof of residency and current vehicle registration.)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0.19in;">Dual residency (See provisions below.)</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;">Note:<strong> Maryland Law prohibits local authorities from issuing an RPP permit in excess of 30 days to any vehicle registered outside of Maryland unless the owner of the vehicle has obtained a Maryland MVA Nonresident Permit.</strong> A copy of the processed MVA Nonresident Permit application (form VR-111) must be presented to the Parking Authority of Baltimore City (PABC) in order to obtain an RPP permit in excess of 30 days. A nonresident Permit does not negate the requirements for an RPP Permit. For MVA Nonresident Permit application information please contact the MVA office at 1-800-950-1682.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;">Once you have properly registered your vehicle with MVA, please return and submit your new vehicle registration or new change of address card to the Parking Authority of Baltimore City.</p>
<h2><a name="required"></a><span style="font-size: small;">Required Proof of Residency</span></h2>
<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;">A current lease, *settlement papers (less than 30 days old), landlord&#8217;s notarized statement, current vehicle registration, driver&#8217;s license MVA NRP application processed receipt, MVA identification card, current house phone bill, utility bill or cable bill (less than 30 days old showing applicant&#8217;s name and address) will be accepted as proof of residency.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;">*Month to month or automatic renewal leases require additional documentation. (Current house phone bill, utility bill, or cable bill.) All letters to this office must be notarized. Verbal confirmation cannot be accepted. Permit requests are not processed through the mail.</p>
